George C. Steffler, 93, of Fombell passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at UPMC Passavant Hospital.
Born March 6, 1923 in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Clair G. and Nellie Weller Steffler. He was married for 63 years to Anna Mae Hart Steffler who passed away July 11, 2011.
George was a heavy equipment operator for 10 years. He then worked at Mathews Conveyor for a number of years. He was also known for being an outboard motor repairman. He was a member and former Elder at Camp Run Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis C. (Catherine) Steffler of Portersville, Curtis C Steffler of Fombell; four grandchildren, Matthew C. Steffler of Jessup, MD, Tania (Steffler) McGee of Gibsonia, Benjamin D. Steffler of New Castle, Calvin C. Steffler of Fombell; and four great granddaughters, Caia and Aiden McGee, and Abigail and Brenna Steffler.
In addition to his parents and wife, George was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Lloyd Steffler.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday September 25 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 am with his pastor, Rev. Andrew Shaffer officiating. Interment will follow in the Camp Run Church Cemetery.
