Regina Vignovich, 92

Regina “Gina” Vignovich, 92, of Northview Estates, Ellwood City passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at her residence.

Born June 8, 1924 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Joseph “Curly” and Minnie Flowers Venezie. She was married on October 19, 1952 to Michael Vignovich who passed away in 2012.

Gina graduated from Lincoln High School in 1942. She worked at Ruben’s Furniture Company and then in the office at US Steel. She also worked as a beautician for her sister at Vera’s Beauty Salon. Gina loved cooking, baking and spending time with her family. But most of all she was known for her funny sense of humor and her practical jokes.

Survivors include two sons, Michael (Lori) Vignovich of New Castle, Mark Vignovich of Houston, TX; daughter, Marla (Tom) Wilson of Ellwood City; four grandchildren, Derek (Carrie) Wilson, Kylea Vignovich and her fiancé, Drew Russick, Jenna (Matt) Schlieper, Sophie Vignovich; two great grandchildren, Dominic and Sammy Wilson; a sister in law, Anne (Donald) Lemke of Ellwood City; a brother in law, Martin Vignovich of Long Beach, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Vera Petrella and a brother, Carmen “Jake” Venezie.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday September 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Marshall Funeral Home 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City. A Blessing service will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home at 10 am. Entombment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
