Medevac Ambulance Service has received an Advanced Certificate of Recognition from the Pennsylvania Emergency Medical Services for Children. This multi-phase recognition program was created for EMS agencies who wish to establish programs and standards to improve their capabilities to deliver care to pediatrics. Medevac is the first EMS agency in Lawrence County to receive Advanced level. The Pediatric Voluntary Recognition Program (PVRP) was created by the EMS for Children program, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of EMS. Beyond simply providing high quality and safe clinical care to children, EMS agencies demonstrating excellence in pediatric care also share a responsibility to provide education, injury prevention initiatives, and outreach within their community. Medevac Ambulance serves Lawrence County from locations in Ellwood City and New Castle.
