We interviewed one senior from the Lincoln’s cross country team and band about their upcoming season.
Band
Emily Williams
Parents: Floyd and Sharon Williams
Years in band: 4
Q. What’s your favorite band related memory?
A. Away game bus rides.
Q. What are you most looking forward to in the upcoming season?
A. Spending time with fellow band members.
Q. What have you and the team been doing to prepare for the first game?
A. Band camp and getting up at 7:45 to march until noon.
Q. How do you hope to improve this year?
A. We’re doing a new half time show.
Q. What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned from being in band?
A. Band is another family.
Q. What will you miss about band after graduation?
A. Everything; band, music, friends.
Q. Future plans?
A. I want to go to Point Park for musical theater production.
Cross Country
Parents: Bill and Cindy Lott
Years Played: Since 3rd grade
Q. What’s your favorite cross country memory?
A. Making it to states in 10th grade.
Q. What are you most looking forward to in the upcoming season?
A. The competition.
Q. What have you and the team been doing to prepare for the first game?
A. Running about 60-70 miles a week.
Q. How do you hope to improve this year?
A. Hope to be in the top 3.
Q. What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned from cross country?
A. You get out what you put in.
Q. What will you miss about it after graduation?
A. The team is really close, so I will miss them.
Q. Future plans?
A. I want to go to college for cross country.
