I have moved on in life and will soon no longer be the journalist at EllwoodCity.org. This is goodbye. Rather than having an abrupt end date, I will more or less fade out while the next journalist moves in and starts another chapter of Ellwoodian adventures.
To answer questions about what I’m doing next: I have a position with a company that does a thing somewhere.
Rather than say much, I have included links of articles I wrote that are important to me.
- A Farewell to Carmike Plaza (Lots of memories going to this theater)
- Ellwood’s Petrak is the Swimming State Champion (Interview with the most accomplished individual athlete in Ellwood history)
- Parking Meters May Be Coming to Crescent Avenue (I parked at this spot because it was close and free and then council put meters there)
- Relay Team Overcomes Obstacles to Break Record and Qualify for States (Interview with a relay team that broke the school record multiple times)
- Why Ellwood and Riverside School Districts Should Merge (I’m not particularly concerned about the districts merging, but this column generated a lot of discussion)
- Perry School to Create Markerspace Workshop (The Makerspace is a project I support and the students seem to be loving it so far)
- The Numbers Behind the Ratified Teacher Contract (Numbers and statistics and stuff)
- Star Wars Brings Back the Magic and Wonder of the Original Trilogy (Write about Star Wars or Ellwood? Which one would I rather do?)
- New Ellwood City Borough Website Launched (I wrote most of this website and edited all of it. If there are mistakes, it is my fault.)
- Library’s “Write On” Celebrated the Difficult Path of Writing and Publication (While I’ll probably be remembered more as the guy who wrote about St. Agatha, I’m more attached to columns on topics more personal to me)
I will miss your excellent reporting of Ellwood City Council meetings. “Good Luck” with your new positon.
Peace. You won’t be missed.
