William D. Welsh, 84

William D. Welsh, 84, of Shenango Rd. Big Beaver Boro passed away Thursday, June 2, at his residence.

Born in Negley, Ohio on April 6, 1932 to the late David G. and Lenore M. Dyke Welsh.

He was married to the former Patty J. Crees for 64 years, as they were married on December 29, 1951. She survives.

Bill was an active member of the Pathway Church. He was an Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He thoroughly enjoyed woodworking, many of the family will cherish his hand made heirlooms.

Along with his wife Patty, he is survived by a daughter Beverly (Skip) Maxwell of Littleton, CO; a son Bill (Nancy) Welsh Jr. of Lakewood, CO. Three sisters, JoAnne (Jack) Gishbaugher of Florida; Bonnie (Bob) Melvin of Darlington., and Becky Luke of South Beaver Twp. Five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, from 4pm to 7pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, 341 Main St., Wampum.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 6 at the Pathway Church, 239 Braun Rd. at 11am with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Pastor Ed Walsh will officiate.

Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, where military rites will be offered by the Veterans Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pathway Church.
