Coronoa D’Italia December Meeting

Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 officers, members and guests held their Christmas dinner on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. at the Wolverine Restaurant.

Attendees were greeted by the reservation committee of Treasurer Louise Vitullo and her member daughters Patti Kuhn and Maura Greco. They distributed door prize tickets and a 50/50 fundraiser ticket. Trustee Pudue La Cava directed the seating arrangements. Orator Valerie Valentino, assisted by members Jackie Perno and Mary Jane Folino, presented favors of her design of wine glasses filled with bags of chocolates at each place setting.

Mistress of Ceremony Mary Quintanilla photographed the group and pictures will be shown at the next monthly meeting. She voiced the welcome and extended her holiday wishes to all and recognized President Clemmy Sirimarco who expressed her holiday greetings and appreciation for the year long support and work of the officers and all the members. Quintanilla then recognized trustee Patty Regna who led a moment of silence remembering all deceased members, family members and all military personnel and followed with an invocation before the serving of the meal.

The sit down dinner of stuffed pork chop or chicken breast with full accompaniments and dessert of Italian pastries was served by the staff and fully enjoyed by all. Quintanilla opened the social recognizing Vice President Ann Butchelli, who expressed her holiday wishes and presented Sirimarco with a gift from the lodge officers and members. She responded with her gratitude for all the lodge has been able to accomplish with everyone participating. The program continued as the boxes of candy provided by Valentino were greatly enjoyed. Kuhn conducted the 50/50 drawing and the winner was Mauro Greco. Door prizes, made and donated by Valentino, were won by La Cava and Flicka Colaberadino.

Quintanilla promised fun and games and that she did provide, first by leading a musical “Bears” game won by La Cava and butchelli and then reading a story containing many ands won by Lois DiFrischia. All winners were given prize bags. Bingo followed conducted by Valentino DiFrischia and Quintanilla. The next monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday Jan. 13 2016 at 5 p.m. at Pizza Joe’s.
