Grace M. DeMark, 97, of Beaver St., Wampum passed away Friday, Dec. 4, 2015 at Vibra Hospital of Mahoning Valley following a short illness.
Born Sept. 7, 1918 in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Theresa Aiello DeMark.
Grace owned and operated Grace’s Beauty Shop in downtown New Castle for 45 years. She was a lifelong member of the former St. Monica Church in Wampum and a current member of Holy Redeemer. Grace graduated from Wampum High School and the New Castle Beauty Academy. She loved cooking, reading and cross stitching. Her most precious time was spent with her family.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Allgood of New Middletown, Oh.; three nieces, Mary Ann Allgood of New Middletown, Joan Hinkle and Kathleen (Clyde) Widener, both of Boardman, Oh.; and three great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Virginia Rose DeMark, and a great nephew, John Widener.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. until the time of departure for the Mass of Christian Burial that will be held at noon at Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City. Rev. Father Mark Thomas will officiate the services. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
