Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 held their monthly meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 11 at 5 p.m. at Pizza Joe’s Restaurant. The session began with an invocation by Trustee Patty Regna recognizing Veteran’s Day and honoring all living and deceased military personnel and all families.
A pizza luncheon was served by Trustee Pudue LaCava and members Jackie Perno and Mary Jane Folino.
President Clemmy Sirimarco conducted the business session that followed. Treasuer Louise Vitullo presented the financial reports. She noted that a donation was made to the Holiday Parade committee continuing the lodge’s intent to support local endeavors.
Orator Valerie Valentino presented favors to all in attendance. Serving as the Chairman of the Corona D’Italia scholarship committee, she reviewed requirements for student applications. The process will begin in January 2016 and all information will be available at that time.
Sirimarco distributed tickets for the November fund raiser and all those wanting to participate may contact her. Discussion was opened for planning the annual Christmas dinner. It was agreed to have the sit down dinner at the Wolverine restaurant on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 5 p.m. Reservations are necessary and may be made by contacting Louise Vitullo no later than Wednesday, Nov. 25. All dues must be paid up to date.
The session concluded with a social directed by Valentino and Mistress of Ceremony Mary Quintanilla aided by member Rosetta Chontos.
