Ada Zeigler, 100, of Rhodes Estates passed away Monday, Oct. 12, 2015 at the Jameson Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Born Dec. 15, 1914 in Wampum, she was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Josephine Aiken Tillia. She was married for 54 years to Wilbur Zeigler who passed away in 2007. Mrs. Zeigler retired from the New Castle School District where she was an Elementary Teacher. She attended Harmony Baptist Church. Ada enjoyed traveling, having visited 49 of the 50 states.
Survivors include three nephews, Richard “Dick” (Peg) Badger of Wampum, Barry (Virginia) Badger of Manheim, Virginia, Bruce (Joan) Badger of Wampum; niece, Lana (William) Hazlett of Houston, Texas; and a number of other nieces and nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Badger and a brother, Robert J. Tillia.
Private funeral services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 15 at 5 pm at the Marshall Funeral Home, Wampum. Her nephew, Barry Badger will officiate. Interment will follow in the Slippery Rock Church Cemetery.
