FBI Raids Americore Hospital in Ellwood City

According to a LeeDaily.com article and many local news reports, nearly two dozen FBI agents recently raided Ellwood City Medical Center, the now-closed Pennsylvania hospital owned by Americore Health. Ellwood City Mayor Anthony Court told WPXI that the agents “carried out boxes and boxes of material from the medical center” late last week. The FBI says that they are conducting law enforcement activities, but at this time the agency is not saying more. Ellwood City Medical Center closed in December after the state banned the hospital from admitting patients for various health and safety regulations. Years of financial trouble had plagued…

Mr. Christopher George Linville, 47, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020. He was born on February 7, 1972 in Ellwood City, PA to “G” Bradley Linville and Carol (Herko) Mangino. Christopher proudly served four years in the U.S. Navy as a HM3 “Corpsman”. After an honorable discharge from the Navy, Christopher worked as an EDT at UPMC Passavant Hospital ER, where he would later work as an EMT for the Cranberry Ambulance Corporation. Senate Approves Two Bills Supporting PA Fire & EMS Companies

Recognizing the major issues facing Pennsylvania’s firefighters, the Senate on Tuesday approved two bills based on recommendations made by a bi-partisan commission established to study emergency services across the Commonwealth, according to Senator Elder Vogel. “The Senate Resolution 6 Commission built upon the foundation set by the previous Senate Resolution 60 Commission to develop a new set of recommendations that provides the next steps toward providing needed assistance to Pennsylvania’s first responders,” said Senator Vogel. “Using that background information as a guide, these bills help address some of the issues facing Pennsylvania’s fire departments. Kenneth C. Weir, 82, of North Sewickley Township, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the H.J. Heinz VA Medical Center in Aspinwall.
