Ellwood City School District Receives $7,481 State Grant

The Ellwood City Area School District was awarded a $7,481 state grant by the Department of Agriculture, according to Senator Elder Vogel. The school district will use the Ag & Youth Program funding for the Garden at Perry Project. Wolf to Increase Indoor & Outdoor Events and Gatherings Maximum Capacity on May 17

Ellwood City High School has announced their 2021 prom court. Ellwood City’s prom will take place on Friday May 7th at The Hill With A View- featuring Lara’s Themes. The Queen’s Court is as follows: Emily Bowser, Madi Hervatine, Jenny Lin, Natalie Maine, Elysia Morris, Molly McCommons, Reina Pawlak, Chloe Sturgeon, and Anna Williams. Fourth Grade Students Tour Ellwood City History Center

Jonica Walters, Ellwood City Elementary School Teacher, brought the fourth grade students for their first tour and experience at the History Center. The purpose was to promote an understanding and appreciation of the Ellwood City area history. The students were met by tour guide Andy Kindle, first Vice President of the Historical Society. They met in the meeting room of the center that also house numerous pieces of memorabilia and artifacts. Youth Soccer Association Treasurer Admits Stealing $100,000 for Personal Expenses

PITTSBURGH, PA – A Beaver County resident pleaded guilty in federal court to a charge of wire fraud, Acting United States Attorney Stephen R. Kaufman announced today. Jenessa Tolejko, 35, of Beaver, PA 15009 pleaded guilty to one count before United States District Judge Arthur J. Schwab. In connection with the guilty plea, the court was advised that Tolejko, while serving as Treasurer of the Brighton Township – Beaver Soccer Association, a volunteer-run youth soccer association, improperly used $100,000 of the soccer association’s money for personal expenditures, including a cruise, other travel, goods from Amazon and LuLaRoe, and her household…
