Ellwood City Wolves Present Donation

Chris Cioffi presented for the EC Wolves Club to Jackie Dimeo, President of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mother’s. A Presentation of $500.00 from funds raised during a recent Golf Bash fundraiser was made during the Wolves Club MTG on June 23rd in Ewing Park. Second 2021 Beautification Award Presented

Mayor Anthony J. Court announces the 2nd Winner of the beautification award. David and Kelli Collette of 320 Mount Vernon Drive. Their hard work shows in the beauty of their landscaping. MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Dia Neupauer of Ellwood City, PA has been named to the President’s List at West Virginia University for the Spring 2021 semester. REMINDER: Last Day For New Trash Carts

The final day for the new trash carts for Ellwood City Borough residents will be delivered Saturday June 26th. Residents are NOT to use the carts until Thursday, July 1st and are to continue to use the yellow bags until then. The new contract with Valley Waste will begin on July 1st. Any refuse placed into the carts, or any bag other than the yellow bag, WILL BE LEFT BEHIND, no exceptions.  


Moraine State Park To Host Butterfly Release

Come to Moraine State Park and release a monarch butterfly in honor of a special someone, in memory of a loved one, or just for fun! Monarch butterflies are now available for pre-purchase. If you want to release a butterfly, individual Monarchs are $15 each. It is strongly encouraged that you pre-purchase, as there may be limited individual butterflies for sale on-site. Ellwood City Celebrates 100th Anniversary Of Ewing Park

On Friday, June 18th, Ellwood City reached a very important milestone. Ewing Park has been the baseball park of Ellwood City for 100 years now. On June 18th 1921, the very first baseball was played in Ellwood. On that day, the Ellwood City Shelby county league defeated Hubbard, Ohio 20-9. The New Castle News reported, “Ewing Park”, which was used for the very first time, and it proved that Ewing Park is the perfect place for playing baseball. Rockin’ Back Into Normalcy: Summer Concerts To Be Held In New Castle

The 2021 Summer Concert Live season is one of the first larger events to be held in downtown New Castle after the lifting of many COVID restrictions. Mayor Court Receives Invite To Farewell Ceremony For Local Pastor

Mayor Anthony J. Court was proud to accept a personal hand delivered invite to Pastor Angelique Bradford’s farewell ceremonies. Worship begins at 11am and reception at 12:30pm on June 20, 2021 at the First Methodist Church in Ellwood City. Ellwood City Wolves Club Awards $15,000 In Scholarships To Local Students
