David Gaibis Guest Speaker At Ellwood Historical Society Monthly Meeting

The Ellwood City Area Historical Society convened for their regular monthly membership meeting Monday February 14th. Present Everett Bleakney welcomed the 30 present and Guy Prestia, a World War II veteran led with the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag. The meeting commenced with Charles Brown presenting the financial report. Robert Morabito, chairman of the Programs and Publicity reported on the future guest speakers. NOTICE: Upcoming Ellwood City School Board of Directors Meetings

In a notice made available by the Ellwood City Area School District this week, the School Board of Directors has announced two upcoming meetings. The Board of Directors has scheduled a Special Meeting on Saturday, February 26, 2022 beginning at 9:00 a.m. The meeting is scheduled for the purpose of authorizing the administration to advertise for bids for the Helling Stadium Project and any other general business purposes that may come before the Board. Eastern Star Offering A Hoagie Sale This Week

The Ellwood City Chapter of the Eastern Star is having a Hoagie Sale this week. Italian Hoagies sell for $7.00/each while Sausage and Pepperoni Rolls sell for $4.00/each. The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den II recognized a local man for his volunteer work in our community for the past 50 years. The Club recognizes local citizens who perform volunteer work in the community and epitomize the Clubs moto: “Pro Bono Publico”-For the Good of the Public. Tenaris To Reactivate Heat Treatment Line At Koppel Steel Mill

Houston, TX – Tenaris is gearing up to reactive its heat treatment and finishing lines at its Koppel, Pennsylvania, plant to streamline the flow of seamless product at its facilities in the northeast. The heat treatment line is part of the manufacturing process which gives pipe their required metallurgical properties for enhanced performance in oil and gas wells. The Ellwood City Area Historical Society will hold their regular monthly meeting Monday February 14 at 7:00 pm. The meeting is held at the History Center, 310 Fifth Street, Ellwood City. Butler County Community College is proud to announce the names of students who have made the President’s List and Dean’s List for the Fall 2021 semester, as well as the names of those who have graduated recently.
