Riverside golfer Reece Pilarski has qualified for the WPIAL 2A Boys’ Individual Golf Championship after firing a round of 86 on Monday to advance. The Panther senior finished with a a round of (44-42. +16) on Monday at the Par-70 Hannastown Golf Club in Greensburg, PA. Pilarski collected four pars on the afternoon. The Riverside Boys Swimming team collected a WPIAL Gold in the 200 and 400-yard Freestyle relay events and set WPIAL records – both collectively and individually – along the way during the WPIAL Swimming Championships this past weekend at the University of Pittsburgh. The Riverside Boys Soccer team is set to face the 2-seed Winchester Thurston Bears Tuesday evening in the WPIAL Class A semifinals. Ellwood City and Riverside Cross Country teams had a collective five runners qualify for PIAA State Championships as a result of their individual finishes at the WPIAL Championships held Thursday at California University of Pennsylvania. For Ellwood City, Colton Crizer and Joel Brooks earned qualifying times while Ty Fluherty qualified in the WPIAL Boys Championships. The Ellwood City Wolverines boys cross country team collected its final regular season victory this week, finishing its campaign a perfect 10-0 and claiming its section championship.
