Those who drive near the Beaver River Bridge Replacement Project are beginning to notice that construction of the new bridge over the Beaver River is now underway. The contractor is currently constructing new abutment footings and drilled shafts, pier footings and columns. Additionally, earthwork and drainage work continues to allow for the wider road and the new interchange ramps being constructed. TRAVEL ADVISORY: PA Turnpike Beaver Valley Interchange Eastbound Exit to Temporarily Close

BEAVER COUNTY —Travelers are advised that construction crews will be temporarily closing the eastbound exit at the Beaver Valley Interchange (Exit 13) of the Pennsylvania Turnpike (Interstate 76) this coming weekend. The exit ramp will be closed, weather permitting, starting at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, until 9:00 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5. The closure is necessary to allow for the construction of a temporary on and off-ramp so work can continue as part of the ongoing Beaver River Bridge Replacement Project. Beaver Valley Interchange on PA Turnpike to Be Closed Weekdays

According to a news release made available this week, a three-week closure is needed for resurfacing project at the Beaver Valley Interchange on PA Turnpike. The release reads as follows: The Pennsylvania Turnpike is alerting motorists of a three-week closure of the Beaver Valley Interchange, Exit #13, in Beaver County. Motorists will not be able to enter or exit the Turnpike at the Beaver Valley Interchange weekdays starting Sept. 21 through Oct. 9.
