Virtual Visit from Author Megan McDonald at Carnegie Free Library

The author of the wildly popular Judy Moody Series, the Stink books and The Sisters Club trilogy and Winner of the Children’s Choice Book Award will joining us in conversation moderated by Mr. Kevin McGuire. PA One Book Event 2017

Celebrate National Poetry Month at the Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls. The Library will be hosting a “Poetry Party” on Saturday, April 29 at 11:00 am.  The PA One Book, Every Young Child Literacy Program selection, Daniel Finds a Poem by Micah Archer, winner of the 2017 Ezra Jack Keats Award will be the focus of the Poetry Party.  Experience how Daniel finds poetry in the world all around him.  Preschoolers and their families will enjoy fun stories, games, crafts, and a sensory table.  Each family who attends will receive a free copy.  Call the library to register at…


Rotary Club of Ellwood City Awarded $1000 District Simplified Grant

The Rotary Club of Ellwood City received a grant to support the reading clubs at the Ellwood City Area Public Library. The Rotary District Simplified Grant is a matching funds grant that is designed to help local Rotary Clubs use a portion of their foundation contributions. Ellwood City Rotary has been awarded grants for area projects as well as international projects. This year, the club once again focuses on local support in recognition of the Ellwood City Area Public Library’s efforts to engage teens in book discussion.
