Halloween is one week away and we are calling all ghosts, ghouls, goblins, and any other scary or funny outfits to get a laugh or scream. It is time again for the Annual EllwoodCity.org Halloween Costume Contest. Each year we have received dozens of entries – and 2023 will be no different!  Let’s make this year even more spooky or funny with your son or daughter’s costume photo submission! Submissions be accepted as early as Saturday, October 28th (date of Ellwood City Halloween parade) and go on through end-of-business hours on Wednesday, November 1st. Upcoming Trunk or Treat Events

Several area churches will be holding Trunk or Treat events as the Halloween holiday approaches. On Sunday, October 22, 2023, North Sewickley Presbyterian Church will hold its fifth annual Trunk or Treat from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in its church parking lot. The church is located at 106 Chapel Drive, Ellwood City, PA 16117, just look for all the decorated cars, costumes and children across from Shakespeare’s Restaurant. Borough of Ellwood City Announces 2023 Trick or Treat Night

Mayor Anthony J. Court has set Trick or Treat night for the Borough of Ellwood City. The Mayor set the day and time for Tuesday, October 31st at 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. Mayor Court stated that he likes to have Trick or Treat right on Halloween night. “Have a fun Trick or Treat night but always remember to be safe,” says Court. “Children should only go to well lit homes and be extra careful while crossing streets.” The Ellwood City Police Department will be out to treat the kids. Mayor Anthony J. Court enjoyed the Halloween festivities held in Ellwood City last month. Mayor Court, along with some Ellwood City Police officers, rode in the parade, held on Saturday, October 22nd, and gave out candy to the kids. On Trick or Treat night, Monday, October 31st, the Mayor along with the police officers and fire department rode around Ellwood City meeting with the kids and giving them treats. REMINDER — VOTE NOW! Upcoming Trunk Or Treat Events

Some area trunk or treat events that have made their information available to EllwoodCity.org include the following.  All events are free to the public. ELLWOOD CITY MOOSE Bring the kids to the Ellwood City Moose Club for a Trunk Or Treat event on Saturday, October 22nd from 2:00 – 4:00 pm!  The Moose Club is located at1400 Factory Avenue, Ellwood City. Sons Of Italy Lodge #608 Hosting Kids Halloween Party

Bring kids of all ages, dressed in their best costumes and Trick or Treat throughout the SOI main hall later this month. The Ellwood City Sons of Italy Lodge #608 will be hosting a kids Halloween Party on Saturday, October 22nd. 2021 Halloween Costume Contest Winners!

Congratulations to the 2021 winners of the annual EllwoodCity.org Halloween Costume Contest! The grand prize winner of the EllwoodCity.org contest was Lorenzo Geminiani, 9 months, and our second place winner was Connor Mannion. Lorenzo, dressed as the Lion from Wizard of Oz, collected over 260 likes to earn the first place cash prize. Twenty-six submitted photos were entered into the contest that ran for a full week after Halloween on our Facebook.com Page.
