One of the Ellwood City Municipal Women House Tour homes, the Bissell household, located at 3302 River Road in Ellwood City, is the first home on the list to be decorated for the event. Though the family still has a few decorations to finish putting up, the majority of work has been completed. We are often told to be alert for drunk drivers on New Year’s Eve, but did you know that it’s the least likely holiday to experience a crash, with the Thanksgiving holiday ranking most likely in Pennsylvania? Bernstine Announces Safe Schools Grants for Laurel School District, Lawrence County Vo-Tech

Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Beaver/Butler/Lawrence) today announced nearly $150,000 in Safe Schools Grants have been awarded to Laurel School District and Lawrence County Career and Technical Center. “Our students deserve to learn in an environment free from violence and crime,” Bernstine said. “The investments we make in academic programs mean nothing if our kids and teachers aren’t safe.
