The Annual Pie Festival hosted by the Lincoln Blue Band will be held on Thursday, Aug. 24 at Helling Stadium. The gates will open at 6 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m. This is a special event to kick off the Blue Band’s fall entertainment. All Blue Band members and fall sport team members will be announced. In 2000, Melissa “Murf” Becker was given a defective mesh implant in which her body rejected. She has undergone 7 different surgeries to remove the mesh, that her doctors have labeled “chicken wire”, all of the surgeries have failed. She has developed multiple problems, she suffers from Celiac’s Disease, pelvic pain, chronic long term pain and neuropathy. Ellwood City Art Club Fair

The Ellwood City Art Club will be hosting their Art Club Fair on September 9, from 10:30-2:30 at their new studio location, The Family Center in Ellwood City. Participants will be able to dabble in a variety of art forms including painting, writing, photography, computer applications, and more. No experience is necessary and teachers will be on hand to help. There is no cost or age limit. Weekly classes are for high school students and up. Some special classes will be for younger children.


Back to School: Wolverines Football Site to Introduce HD Live Streaming

Along with the general yearly updates to the schedule and roster, the official Ellwood City Wolverines website is expecting to make further changes for this upcoming season, with the biggest alteration being the addition of high-definition live streaming for both home and away games. Sell Your Items at the Community Rummage Sale

The Ellwood City Women of the Moose Chapter 442 invite the community to their rummage sale event this Saturday to sell their items at a cost of $10.00 per table space. Wrap-up for the Four Day Bazaar

During the 51st Holy Redeemer four day annual Bazaar, monetary awards totaling $46,000 were awarded to ten lucky winners. The Bazaar concluded on a high note with the Summer-Cash Give-away marque award of $25,000. The awards are based on the PA Lottery evening first pick three- digit number drawn. The Lottery’s policy states that winners, if they allow their names to be publicized, will need to sign a lottery privacy clause release document. Adult Dance at Ewing Park Pool

The Ellwood City Borough Council Parks and Recreation Committee will be hosting the first Adult Dance at the Ewing Park Pool.
