Borough Of Ellwood City Advertising Board Vacancies

According to information made available by the borough, the Ellwood City Borough Council is advertising the vacancies on the following Boards and Commissions of Ellwood City Borough: Zoning Hearing Board, Zoning Hearing Board Alternate, Planning Commission, Economic Development Authority, Civil Service Commission, Civil Service Commission Alternate, EC Library Board, and Recreation Board. Any Borough resident interested in serving on any of the above positions is asked to submit a letter of interest to the Borough Secretary, 525 Lawrence Avenue, Ellwood City, PA 16117. Borough Council Extends State of Emergency For Ellwood City

During a special Friday afternoon meeting, the Ellwood City Borough Council extended its State of Emergency in response to the ongoing novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) global pandemic. By law a declaration of a local state of emergency may not extend past seven days unless approved by the governing body of the borough  or municipality. The original announcement was made available by the Borough and Mayor Anthony Court last Friday. Ellwood City Council Agenda Meeting, New Electric Rate For Vote

Ellwood City Council held their regular monthly agenda meeting on December 10. All council members were present at the meeting. The agenda meeting was brief and allowed for attendees to get a rundown on what will be voted on in next weeks council meeting. New Ellwood City Borough Manager Elected at November Council Meeting

Ellwood City Council votes on new borough manager at the monthly meeting on November 19. All council members were present at the meeting except Mayor, Anthony J. Court. Ellwood City Council has finally permanently filled the borough manager position for the upcoming year. The council voted 5-2 for William David Allen to be the new full-time borough manger. Ellwood City Council: Monthly Agenda Meeting Rundown

Ellwood City Council held their regular monthly agenda meeting on November 13. All council members were present at the meeting except Mayor, Anthony J. Court due to a prior engagement. At Monday evening’s council meeting, the Borough of Ellwood City proudly recognized the Allegheny Aquatic Alliance for continued diligence in removing debris from the Connoquenessing Creek and restoring the waterway to its natural beauty This commendation will be spread upon the minutes of the regular monthly meeting of the Borough Council held the 17th day of September, 2018. Ellwood City Council May Still Consider More Changes to Ellwood City Electric

Ellwood City council members have met more than half of the seven suggestions they received in a letter about improving Ellwood City Electric Department from Rep. Aaron Bernstine and state Sen. Elder Vogel Jr., after Monday nights council meeting. Ellwood City Council voted yes Monday to extend the delinquency period on bills from the borough-run department from 12 days to 16 days, to eliminate the $5 fee for delinquency notices and drop the penalty rate from 5 percent to 2.5 percent.
