Ellwood City United Fund Update

The Ellwood City area United Fund campaign is now under way. The 2017-2018 campaign runs until December 31, 2017. The fund is an independent local United Fund with absolutely no paid staff or administration. You can be assured that your donation stays here in Ellwood City. Join Senator Elder Vogel Jr. for his 55+ Senior Expo

Senator Elder Vogel, Jr. would like to invite all area seniors and their families to attend his free Senior Expo on Friday, September 15 at the Cascade Park Pavilion, 1928 E. Washington St, New Castle. Representatives from over 75 state and local agencies will be on-hand to provide useful information for seniors on healthcare, government services, and more.  In addition, there will be plenty of door prizes, giveaways, health screenings, and lunch, all free of charge. Calvin Presbyterian Church Hosting GriefShare Program

No matter what the circumstances, grief recovery is a painful process, and that’s why Calvin Presbyterian Church hosts GriefShare seminars, a support group to help those grieving. The program will be facilitated by Ginny Brest and the first session is scheduled for Sunday, September 10 from 1:300-3:30 p.m. in the church parlor. The group will meet each Sunday afternoon for 13 weeks, concluding on December 3 . While participants are encouraged to complete the 13-week program if possible, attendance is not mandatory each week.
