RIVERSIDE SCHOOL DISTRICT PROFILE
 

The Riverside Beaver County School District, located in northeastern Beaver County, PA, is comprised of the townships of Franklin, Marion arid North Sewickley. Portions of Butler and Lawrence Counties form the northern and eastern boundaries of the school district, and the Beaver River forms the western border. It covers an area of approximately 48.23 square miles and has a population of nearly 11,000 residents. The student population is 2,128, which classifies it as a AA school in Pennsylvania.

Mission Statement
The Riverside Beaver County School District will forge a dynamic learning partnership with the community to create enthusiasm, excellence and integrity in education.

The Riverside School District:
1. Will encourage partnerships among parents, community, business and the school to provide leadership in the local extended community.
2. Will develop leadership qualities and skill in our students with tile cooperation of community and business leaders.
3. Will model mutual respect and cooperation between students, professional staff, parents and the community.
4. Will provide a variety of educational and technological services to increase community involvement in schools.
5. Will emphasize strong academic programs by recognizing the importance of critical thinking skills, arts, extracurricular activities, human relations and technology.

7 Will work towards the resolution of such issues as financial resources to support education, social and emotional problems of children, alternate programs (i.e. work-study apprenticeships, programs to address behavior problems, school choice) and social issues (i.e. violence in the schools, prejudice, gangs, sexuality and AIDS).
