Doug Schoen, Democrat pollster and another pollster whose name I can't remember, just wrote an article calling Obama the most polarizing president in history. They mainain he pits blacks against whites and the poor against the better off. He chided the Supreme Court in his State of the Union speech which is something that has never been done. He made a scathing remark against Rep. Hoekstra when the Congressman was at a dedication where he was invited, He is, and will always be, a Chicago thug!

You missed Paines "First" point in this section. "Because it tends to the decrease and reproach of all religion whatever, and is of the utmost danger to society, to make it party in political disputes."

Paine was referring keeping religion beyond reproach, not keeping politics beyond reproach. He viewed religion as sacred and government as a necessary evil. Reference this quote:

Republicans want to make the Bush tax cuts permanent, which would cost $678 billion dollars without paying for them -- and that's just the cost of the tax cuts going to the top two percent of earners.

In other words, the Republicans want to spend $678 billion in further giveaways for the wealthiest two percent, and they don't care whether it increases the deficit.

By the way, the Republicans also recently voted against and defeated an amendment to strip Big Oil of its $25 billion in subsidies. Just thought I'd pass that along.

Put another way, $678 billion in tax cuts for the wealthy? No problem. Deficit-shmeficit! But $34 billion in unemployment benefits for an out-of-work middle class at a time when companies aren't hiring? Evil!

Instead, the Republicans want to give almost as much money to Big Oil in the form of corporate welfare during the worst oil spill in American history while telling unemployed middle class families to piss off.

Do we have a clear picture in terms of who and what the Republicans care about?

Guns: There isn’t any debate about the meaning of the Second Amendment in Pakistan. There are probably more AK-47’s in Pakistan than there are books.

Nice try at liberal talk. Name one rich person in the U.S. that pays no taxes.Truth is they pay 50% or more of their income in taxes. Truth is liberals want the m to pay 90%. 50 % of U.S. citizens pay no taxes. I am not referring to the rich but the lower income individuals. HOW CUTE! Sarah Palin is taking Kate Gosselin camping! How heart warming... It really shows what kind of mother Sarah Palin supports! Gosselin is so caught up with her own fame that those kids are not getting the kind of childhood they deserve! Her and her ex-husband are SICK! Fame monsters who care about nothing but themselves. BAGHDAD – A U.S. audit has found that the Pentagon cannot account for over 95 percent of $9.1 billion in Iraq reconstruction money.

The $8.7 billion in question was Iraqi money managed by the Pentagon.

The report by the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction accused the Defense Department of lax oversight and weak controls and fraud.
Complaints surfaced from the start of the war in 2003, when soldiers failed to secure banks, armories and other facilities. Since then the allegations have only multiplied, including investigations of fraud, awarding of contracts without the required government bidding process and allowing contractors to charge exorbitant fees with little oversight, or oversight that came too late.

With the establishment of the Coalition Provisional Authority, which ran Iraq shortly after the start of the U.S. invasion in 2003 until mid-2004, about $20 billion was placed into the account. The $9.1 billion audited by the Iraq reconstruction inspector general were funds withdrawn from that account between 2004 and 2007.

As an example of the problems, a $100 million diesel-fueled power plant was built with the goal of delivering electricity to more than 500,000 residents. The plant's costs tripled to $305 million as construction lagged a year behind schedule. The plant now often sits idle because they were able to import cheaper power from neighboring Uzbekistan before the plant came online.

There they don't go again. Yet another time, Republicans refused to support a bill vital to the interests of our nation.

Last week, President Obama signed into law the most significant reform of Wall Street since the days of our dear President Franklin Roosevelt.

It passed over the objections of the most powerful financial institutions in the country, big business groups, a legion of lobbyists, and every Republican in Congress.

The legislation contains the strongest package of consumer protections ever adopted. It restricts predatory mortgage lending, eliminates hidden credit card fees, and establishes a new Consumer Financial Protection Agency.

Most importantly, it contains strong measures to prevent financial institutions from engaging in the high-risk practices which deeply damaged our economy and caused millions of Americans to lose their jobs and their homes.

And, remarkably, the Republicans opposed it.

Timothy Geithner, Treasurer, did not pay his taxes for 2 years. Chris Dodd, did not pay his taxes on rental property for 3 three years. Charley Rangel, Tax Writing Committee, on trial for not paying his taxes. Throw in Tom Daschle and Mary Brennan, both of who owe taxes to the government and you will understand why these Democrats don't mind increasing taxes...they don't pay them!

Randy Pullen, the Republican National Committee's treasurer has accused chairman Michael Steele of hiding more than $7 million in debt to inflate the party's finances and mislead donors.

The memo to RNC budget committee members were the latest challenge to the embattled Steele and his stewardship of the Republican National Committee. RNC Treasurer Randy Pullen’s reports to show some $3.3 million in debt for April and $3.8 million for May. Michael Steele, which had crowed about having zero debt, had more than $2 million in debt at the end of June, according to FEC reports.

In the memo, Mr. Pullen said "fundraising has been falling well short of budgeted numbers The explanation for this was the RNC was doing a great job of controlling expenses," Pullen wrote in his memo. "This on the surface seemed reasonable; however, I reviewed April and May check registers in May and noted what seemed to be an increasing number of invoices with dates from prior months."

In other words, the RNC simply wasn't paying its bills on time to make it look as though it had more cash than it did.

The information about Pa. and Maryland being allowed to use Federal funds for abortions (killing babies) was reported on Fox News, CNN and C-Span. The report was read, word for word and I do not know if it was discussed. But, just wait, it will soon happen to all states. If you think the Administration was serious about stopping funded abortions, you are probably stupid enough to believe you will not pay more taxes because you make under $250,000 ayear. What a fool.

I will say it again. The republican have had many chances to repeal the abortion laws. the conservatives have had the majority on the Supreme Court for years. You have to ask yourself why. Text SizeAAAWASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama's new health coverage for uninsured Americans with health problems won't be cheap - premiums averaging $300 to $600 a month in the largest states, according to a government website that went live Thursday.

From cheaper to most expensive, premiums will range from a $140 a month to as much as $900, Richard Popper, deputy director of a new insurance office at the federal Health and Human Services department, said Wednesday.

The range is so wide because premiums will be keyed to standard individual health insurance rates in each state, which can differ dramatically because of medical costs and the scope of coverage. Also, older people will pay more.

"There are going to be meaningful premiums that are going to be required to stay in this plan ... in the hundreds of dollars," said Popper, with the Office of Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight.

Estimates on HealthCare.gov show premiums for a 50-year-old in Florida will be $552 to $675 a month; in New York the cost will average from $400 to $600; in Texas it's $491 to $600, and in Pennsylvania $283 on average. In many states, consumers can start enrolling immediately.

Despite the cost, consumer advocates are urging uninsured people with health problems to sign up soon, because they cannot be turned away for medical reasons. Family members may be able to help with premiums, which are competitive with rates paid by people who buy their coverage directly from an insurance company.

The Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan will start taking applications in every state by the end of the month. Coverage will be available as early as August 1.

Consumers can go to the website to find out about the program, as well as other coverage options in their state, including government plans such as Medicaid, and private insurance. Starting this fall, the site will feature easy price and coverage comparisons among private plans. The new health care law called for the site, as a way to offer Americans one-stop shopping for coverage.

Twenty-nine states and Washington, D.C., will administer their own plans for people with pre-existing conditions. The federal government will run the program in the remaining 21 states.

The coverage is a stopgap for vulnerable people locked out of the private insurance market because of medical problems. It's intended to remain available until 2014, when core health care overhaul provisions take effect. At that time, insurers will be barred from turning away people in poor health, low- and middle-income households will get subsidized coverage, and most Americans will for the first time be required to carry health insurance.

To qualify for the pre-existing condition plan, people must be uninsured for at least six months and have been turned down for coverage by a private insurer because of a medical problem. U.S. citizens and legal residents are eligible.

The biggest question hanging over the program is whether the $5 billion allocated will be enough.

Millions of people meet the basic qualifications for coverage, and technical experts who advise Congress and the administration have warned the funds could be exhausted as early as the end of 2011.

HHS officials sidestepped questions about what would happen if the money runs out. One option is for the government to limit enrollment.

Popper estimated about 200,000 people would be enrolled in the program at any one time, but other HHS experts estimated that 375,000 would sign up this year, and the Congressional Budget Office says the total could reach 700,000 in 2013.

Obama made a recess appointment of Dr. Berwick to head his Health Plan. It was done that way because he could not get him through the full Congress. If Obama sticks to his word and that is not s shoo-in, our income rates will rise in January. The lowest rate will go from 10% to 15%. The highest rate will go from 35% to 39.5% and all the other steps will go up. And, if you read the new Health Bill, as I did,-easy to get a copy- you will see that 22 other taxes will go up as will the "Death tax". Also, returning will be the "marriage tax" that charges married people more than 2 single people. Really family friendly, eh?

Attorney General Eric Holder has filed a law suit against the state of Arizona because Arizona is trying to enforce laws that the federal government refuses to do. This is going to be a waste of taxpayers money.
Every year there are about 1.3 million illegals who cross the Mexican border into the United States. A vast majority of these come through Arizona.
Illegals cost U.S. taxpayers $113,000,000,000 every year for services that they receive. This means that every household must pay about $1,100 to support these illegals. If the federal government was serious about securing our borders, they would seal the borders off, provide necessary manpower and equipment to stop illegals, punish employers who hire illegals, and cut off all funding to any sanctuary city. The big problem is this: The federal government is more concerned about suing Arizona and giving illegals amnesty.

As posted in comments on Greta's article referencing
the MOVEON ad about Sarah Palin.

The last 45 of my 66 years I've spent in a
commercial fishing town in Alaska. I understand Alaska politics but
never understood national politics well until this last year. Here's
the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it.
It's not about persona, style, rhetoric, it's about doing things.
Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I'm about to
mention here.

1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of
the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor's office
away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore
into the Republican's "Corrupt Bastards Club" (CBC) and sent them
packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing
orange jump suits. The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard,
throwing confetti and singing, "la la la la" (well, you know how they
are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done
anything similar.

2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan
politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she
constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits
called "ACES." Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested
and Sarah told them, "don't let the door hit you in the stern on your
way out." They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely
wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international
oil companies meekly fell in line. Again, give me the name of any
other governor in the country that has done anything similar.

3. The other thing she did when she walked into the
governor's office is she got the list of State requests for federal
funding for projects, known as "pork." She went through the list,
took 85% of them and placed them in the "when-hell-freezes-over"
stack. She let locals know that if we need something built, we'll pay
for it ourselves. Maybe she figured she could use the money she got
from selling the previous governor's jet because it was extravagant.
Maybe she could use the money she saved by dismissing the governor's
cook (remarking that she could cook for her own family), giving back
the State vehicle issued to her, maintaining that she already had a
car, and dismissing her State provided security force (never
mentioning - I imagine - that she's packing heat herself). I'm still
waiting to hear the names of those other governors.

4. Now, even with her much-ridiculed "gosh and
golly" mannerism, she also managed to put together a totally new
approach to getting a natural gas pipeline built which will be the
biggest private construction project in the history of North America.
No one else could do it although they tried. If that doesn't impress
you, then you're trying too hard to be unimpressed while watching her
do things like this while baking up a batch of brownies with her other
hand.

5. For 30 years, Exxon held a lease to do
exploratory drilling at a place called Point Thompson. They made
excuses the entire time why they couldn't start drilling. In truth
they were holding it like an investment. No governor for 30 years
could make them get started. Then, she told them she was revoking
their lease and kicking them out. They protested and threatened court
action. She shrugged and reminded them that she knew the way to the
court house. Alaska won again.

6. President Obama wants the nation to be on 25%
renewable resources for electricity by 2025. Sarah went to the
legislature and submitted her plan for Alaska to be at 50% renewables
by 2025. We are already at 25%. I can give you more specifics about
things done, as opposed to style and persona Everybody wants to be
cool, sound cool, look cool. But that's just a cover-up. I'm still
waiting to hear from liberals the names of other governors who can
match what mine has done in two and a half years. I won't be holding
my breath.

By the way, she was content to return to AK after
the national election and go to work, but the haters wouldn't let her.
Now these adolescent screechers are obviously not scuba divers. And
no one ever told them what happens when you continually jab and pester
a barracuda. Without warning, it will spin around and tear your face
off. Shoulda known better.

You have just read the truth about Sarah Palin that
sends the media, along with the democrat party, into a wild
uncontrolled frenzy to discredit her. I guess they are only
interested in skirt chasers, dishonesty, immoral people, liars,

Buchanan, a Republican, often was permitted to sign off on her own travel and then got rubber-stamp approval from the Executive Office of United States Attorney. When individual U.S. attorneys did go over the government rate at that time, they could approve the expense themselves. Buchanan served under the Bush administration.

Records show that Ms. Buchanan sometimes spent only a day or two out of each month in Pittsburgh . Buchanan went to Washington weekly on flights that cost nearly $600 each and spent $3,500 a month to rent an apartment there. According to USAir, that would be a first class ticket for a 58 minute flight.

According to federal policy, a U.S. government employee "must exercise the same care in incurring expenses that a prudent person would exercise if traveling on personal business."

Buchanan spent $339 per night for three nights at the Mayflower Renaissance D.C. Hotel, which bills itself as a four-diamond luxury hotel. The approved government rate then for a night's stay in the nation's capital: $150.

During an October 2005 trip, she spent $219 for one night at the Cleveland Marriott. The standard rate then was $86.

In October 2006, Buchanan paid $229 per night for three nights at the "five-diamond luxury" Grand America Hotel in Salt Lake City. The approved rate was $90.

All of the overages were paid by the Department of Justice and US taxpayers.

A) to abolish the U.S. Constitution or change it to suite the progressive agenda.
B) baby murder to be considered a "choice" and be funded by the tax payers.
C) Christianity to disappear, or be molded into the secular image.
D) sexual perversion to be considered normal, and use "hate crime" legislation to throw people in jail who disagree.
E) freedom of speech muffled and the power to control and regulate our thoughts.
F) etc., etc.

American socialists/progressives have the same hatred of freedom, private property, and Christianity as their Romanian counterparts, but they also have the added abominations of the gay agenda and abortion. Not long after the Romanian socialists gained complete control of the economy and legal system, they literally confiscated everything we worked for, murdered millions of Romanians and imprisoned, raped, and tortured countless others. Before we obtained political asylum in the U.S., the Romanian socialists incarcerated half of my family and tried to starve the other half. The primary method of oppression was an agency called the Securitate, which was a paramilitary secret police force numbering in the hundreds of thousands.

In Barack Obama’s July 2, 2008 speech he called for a new domestic paramilitary organization. Obama proposed "a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded" as our military. In order for this security force to be "just as strong" as our military, it would have to number in the millions. The groundwork for an American "Securitate" (the creation of the Department of Homeland Security) was established not by a Democrat but by George Bush, a Republican. All that our current dictator-in-chief has to do now is expand the force and sign an executive order to give it extra powers. My hope is that Americans come to the realization that socialists are not confined to the Democratic Party, there just happens to be fewer of them in the GOP (and they have a slightly different flavor). Fascism and Communism are two sides of the same coin - they both prefer socialism over capitalism. Regardless of our party affiliations, we must all recognize the obvious before it's too late: American capitalism and freedom are in more danger under Barack Obama and a Democrat-controlled Congress than at any other time in history. A judge ruled that the moratorium placed by Our Fearless dictator on drilling in the Gulf is plain stupid. Obama's first reaction "we will appeal this decision." I thought he was suppose to be helping the people in the Gulf? This is only going to lead to numerous jobs being lost and a bigger dependence on foreign oil.
Our country has more oil, coal, and gas than all of the Middle East, yet we remain hostage to their supplies because we're not aloud to drill for oil. I hate to say it, but we are the laughing stock of the world. Will we ever wake up and send the environmentalists to an island of their own? They could watch the pretty fish and pet all the cuddly animals and grow their flowers.

The food stamp issue is a joke. No one should care who buys what with what they receive. I can tell you that if you don't qualify you can't get it! I once needed help in the worst way and I did not qualify for a measly $6.00. I was told that my mother and father wouldn't let me or my kids starve so I'd have to maybe go see my parents to see what they could do for me. Some do know how to "play" the system, but I believe for the most part all the hassle of providing your income, and the fifty million other pages of the application and appointments mean you really have to want it if you go through the process. The state already has enough regulators to evaluate if people qualify, so let it go about who buys what and how they look. I agree with another poster that you must be jealous or something because now you're cracking at the lady's weight. Barack Obama is no fool. He is not incompetent. To the contrary, he is brilliant. He knows exactly what he's doing. He is purposely overwhelming the U.S. economy to create systemic failure, economic crisis and social chaos -- thereby destroying capitalism and our country from within.
Barack Obama was my college classmate ( Columbia University , class of '83). As Glenn Beck correctly predicted from day one, Obama is following the plan of Cloward & Piven, two professors at Columbia University . They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending and entitlement demands. Add up the clues below. Taken individually they're alarming. Taken as a whole, it is a brilliant, Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States into a socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that desperately needs government for survival ... and can be counted on to always vote for bigger government. Why not? They have no responsibility to pay for it.
-- Universal health care. The health care bill had very little to do with health care. It had everything to do with unionizing millions of hospital and health care workers, as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will join government employee unions). Obama doesn't care that giving free health care to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national debt. What he does care about is that it cements the dependence of those 30 million voters to Democrats and big government. Who but a socialist revolutionary would pass this reckless spending bill in the middle of a depression?

-- Cap and trade. Like health care legislation having nothing to do with health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global warming. It has everything to do with redistribution of income, government control of the economy and a criminal payoff to Obama's biggest contributors. Those powerful and wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC and CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants. They will kick-back hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to Obama and the Democratic Party to keep them in power. The bonus is that all the new taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and businesses helps Obama "spread the wealth around."

-- Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who's asking for a 51st state? Who's asking for millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement addicts in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers. But this has been Obama's plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic voters who are dependent on big government.

-- Legalize 12 million illegal immigrants. Just giving these 12 million potential new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system and bankrupt America . But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support big government. Add another few trillion dollars in welfare, aid to dependent children, food stamps, free medical, education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social Security.

-- Stimulus and bailouts. Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions -- including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country. It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering $125 billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues). All those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America . The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the means.
-- Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it(except vote for Obama). Reagan wanted to dramaticallly cut taxes in order to starve government. Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve his political opposition.

With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government; and a government dedicated to destroying capitalism and installing themselves as socialist rulers by overwhelming the system.

Add it up and you've got the perfect Marxist scheme -- all devised by my Columbia University college classmate Barack Obama using the Cloward and Piven Plan.

Records show Rubio paid $135,000 for the 1,228-square-foot home in 2005.

The Internal Revenue Service is investigating Rubio's spending for his freewheeling spending of dollars on himself.

Republicans on Saturday blocked legislation that would boost the nation's economic recovery and lift a $75 million cap on what oil companies must pay to families and small businesses affected by BP’s oil spill.

The stalled Senate bill would extend unemployment benefits to workers without jobs and a tax credit for first-time homebuyers. The legislation would save thousands of jobs across the country.

The Republican leadership in the Senate won't even allow this legislation to come up for a vote. And if this obstruction continues, unemployed Americans will see their benefits stop. Teachers and firefighters will lose their jobs. Families will pay more for their first home.

Republicans are hurting the country and the economy by refusing to let the legislation move forward.

Being involved with Economics for much of my adult life, I thought I was familiar with all aspects of that science. I must admit, however, I need help from someone more knowledgeable with "contemporary" aspects. Never in my life did I read or hear about, "Jobs saved". That phrase is absent in all of the eco literature I have ever read, studied so someone explain it to me. Two days ago Joe Biden said that the Administration "saved" 200,000 jobs. But, the unemployment rate continues to rise. How can you reconcile those two stats? The Unemployment rate is 9.7 and much higher In California, Nevada, New York and Rhode sland so where are the jobs being saved? Also, the stats would be higher but the Administration is hiring thousands of people to improve the figures. So, please explain how this is happening and maybe quote some Economists.

The only logical thing is for us to vote out all incumbents, irrespective of their “party”. We MUST look past petty party issues and vote as a block on this point, or we will have no effect. WE MUST NOT VOTE FOR ANY INCUMBENT! By doing this, and doing this at EVERY election, we can begin to get rid of the “old guard”, that has this country by the throat. Thursday morning a Republican Member of Congress apologized to BP. Yes, you heard it right. Congressman Joe Barton (R, TX) apologized to British Petroleum CEO Tony Hayward because the White House got BP to create a $20 billion escrow account to pay for the ecological disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.

Republican Rep. Barton and his Republican colleagues are more upset that President Obama is forcing BP to pay for its devastation than they are at BP for pouring hundreds of millions of gallons of oil into the Gulf.

Not one Republican Member of Congress from Pennsylvania has said they disagree with Barton.

Even BP knows it is at fault, so why another charade by the politicians. How about trying to find some solutions to some problems - get in front of something for a change. For the second time, there was violence at a Tea-Party Rally. The first time, some SEIU goons beat and kicked a man just selling badges-they were caught on tape. Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress, and
the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democratic
Party. They controlled the budget process for FY 2008 and FY 2009, as

with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush
somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases. For FY 2009,
though, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely,
passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack
Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus
spending bill to complete the FY 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that
very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he
signed the omnibus bill as President to complete FY 2009. Let's
remember what the deficits looked like during that period:
If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the FY 2007 deficit, the
last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five
years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that,
Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes
Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets. If Obama inherited anything,
he inherited it from himself.

In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I
voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since
January 20th.
There is no way this will be widely publicized,
unless each of us sends it on!

I did not vote for the President, and I do not like his policies or respect him as a leader. I do, however feel a great deal of pity for him. He so badly wanted this job, and perhaps believed he actually could implement beneficial change. Some of the electorate recognized his ideas were dangerous and impractical and probably could not be rammed through the rest of DC, and didn't vote for him. He was elected through a combination charisma, novelty, an ability to say what folks want to hear, and support by the most powerful political machine in America. Having said all of that, I feel terribly sorry for the man. 1-I don't need to put a mosque up to show the world and murderers that I'm good. Just like I don't need Obama going around the world apologizing for me. I'm like millions of Americans, a good person who doesn't need some America hater apologizing for America.

obama has made a mistake with his unpaid job offer through rahm emanuel (white house chief of staff) to bill clinton to joe sestak. maybe this will lead to impeachment for the whole bunch of america haters in the white house. we will never get that lucky.
please spare us from, "obama was not aware of the offer". bp couldn't do a thing in the gulf without him knowing what they were going to do. what would make anyone believe this was done without his knowledge.
i wonder if there are tapes that have been erased as another president did a few decades back???????

To that Republican who doesn't understand write-in votes:

Candidates need 500 write-ins to get onto the ballot, and if two reach that threshold, it's a race to see who can collect the most. With the 40th District touching both Allegheny and Butler counties, tallies by both elections divisions show Mr. DeMarco with a commanding lead that is expected to be made official within the next 10 days.

A tentative vote count Friday by the Allegheny County elections office showed Mr. DeMarco with 3,358 write-in votes to Ms. Oral's 953. There were 452 other votes.

A count last week by Butler officials found 576 votes for Mr. DeMarco and 125 for Ms. Oral. Butler is expected to certify its numbers next week.

Allegheny County's Board of Elections will certify its numbers June 7.
