Gully—Maybe Just Fern.
May 8,
2008
Before there were
humans, dinosaurs, or any land animal in general, there was the fern. Next
Saturday, May17th, McConnell’s Mills is offering the interested fern fans a
chance to get a closer view at this ancient plant family. Participants will
begin their nature hike inside McConnell’s Mills at 2:00 P.M. There will be
free parking offered at the Kildoo picnic area. It is recommended to wear
comfortable shoes. It would also be a smart idea to bring some bottles of
water. A suggestion to make this hike more interesting is to become educated
about the unique fern plant....(read

Arabian Nights

The
theme was Arabian Nights, and as students showed off their tuxes and dresses to
friends and family at Promenade, it was sure to be a wonderful night for the
students to remember.
After the Promenade and the dinner which was held at the beautiful Alpine Room
in SNPJ, the students took-off to the after party held at the Catholic Center.
At the after party Hipnotist, Bob Hein, had the crowd laughing to the point of
tears as students made fools of themselves infront of their classmates. Gino
Rocco was one of the hypnotized fools as Bob Hein made him believe his butt was
so itchy that it had Gino scooting and crawling across the floor. Hein also made
seniors, Cory Rectenwald and Andie Verone, believe that they were a models from
the show 'America's Next Top Model', which caused the two dazed students to show
off their prom attire as if they were walking the catwalk in a real fashion
show.
Other entertainment of the night included amazing close up magic performed by Dr
Brad Brown. Steve Maffei spun some cd's that kept the classes of 2008 and 2009
dancing to the wee hours of the morning. The band Identity-X also performed.
