Friday, July 9, 2010

9:15 AM - Jergels Restaurant in Ellwood City will be hosting “Concert for a Cure” this Saturday night to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

Not only will there be two live bands playing oldies and rock and roll, former lead singer of the Jaggerz and Wild Cherry will be on hand serving drinks.

That’s right. Donnie Iris will be behind the bar to serve as guest bartender for the charity concert event at Jergels Restaurant from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Gary and the Moondogs, a Beatles cover band from Ellwood City, will kick things off beginning at 8 p.m. followed by the Pittsburgh-based rock and roll band The Nied’s Hotel.

A Chinese auction will take place sometime during the night, with prizes varying from sporting event tickets, weekend get-a-ways, etc. Also, food throughout the night will be furnished by Jergels Restaurant.

Tickets for Concert for a Cure are $15 and can be purchased at the door. All the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
