Awards given to fine Art Show pieces

9:05 AM - Awards were given to local artists Wednesday afternoon at Ewing Park as part of the upcoming Juried Art Show that can be seen during the 3-day Arts, Crafts, and Food Festival.

The show will once again be hosted by the Ellwood City Art Club, and the artwork will be on display all three days at the Trefoil Lodge in Ewing Park.

Steve Totin was honored with Best of Show for his piece titled “The Headlines Read.”

Distinguished Awards 1, 2, and 3 went to Susan Dexter for “Elegy in White,” Janice Marshall for “A Morning Walk,” and Kelly Barger for “Innocence,” respectively.

Merit Awards 1, 2, and 3 went to Bill Perry for “Canned Peaches,” Lynn Roberts for “Signs of Spring,” and Dona Boots for “Lara,” in that order.

Finally, honorable mentions were given to Joshua Wilson for “Pride,” Allen Liebling for “MS2,” Marissa Moczan for “ID 7185519,” and Tammy Bauder for “Rocky Bottom.”
