Road work requested by local community

10:35 AM - During Monday’s Ellwood City Borough meeting, a resident provided the council with a petition signed by the residents of a small community near Walnut Ridge Elementary School asking for serious road work to be done.
Alan Dudash of 619 Meadowridge Dr., Ellwood City, asked the council to fix the roads that are deteriorating, especially at the entrance to Meadowridge Estates.
Dudash said that 22 of the 23 home owners in the community signed the petition, and the one who didn’t was not home at the time.
The three roads that need attention are Meadowridge Drive, Cavalier Court, and Sewall Court.
Residents say that the entrance resembles numerous large speed bumps as you turn onto Meadowridge Drive, and some say the bumps may be caused from old roadwork chemicals.
Council President Anthony DeCarbo said that they will discuss the road deterioration concern with officials and figure out a possible solution.
