Altmire hosts non-profit workshop Friday, March 5, 2010 8:12 AM - U.S. Congressman Jason Altmire (PA-04) announced Thursday that he will host a government grants workshop for non-profits tomorrow, March 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The workshop will be held at the New Castle County Courthouse Annex, located at 430 Court Street in New Castle, PA. “Non-profits provide critically important services to families across our region,” Altmire said. “Over the past year, many non-profits have struggled to raise the money that they need to meet increased demands. This workshop will help non-profits learn about government grants that can help them continue to provide valuable services to our community.” The state and federal governments have a variety of grant opportunities for programs and services. At this workshop, representatives from state and local agencies will discuss various grants that are available through the State of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
