9:24 AM - Since the first crowning of Mr. Lincoln High 11 years ago, the March of Dimes Club has been raising thousands of dollars from each event for medical research. Thanks to many generous donations, the Mr. Lincoln High pageant has gained just about $20,000 since they started crowning winners.
Lincoln High School sophomore Eric McCall was crowned 2010 Mr. Lincoln High during Saturday night’s pageant and was given the crown by last year’s Mr. Lincoln High, Bobby Prestia.
Other notable victors at the pageant were senior Nick Meehan who was the talent winner and senior Keith Leddon who brought in the most donations of $215.
The total collection by the contestants was $830, putting the total pageant amount at $1,500. Proceeds from the pageant benefit the March of Dimes Foundation, West Penn chapter.
Judges for Mr. Lincoln High were Loretta Barry, Rebecca Figan, Lisa Fox, Nick Mancini, and Anthony Sainato.
Local businesses provided prizes for all contestants, and Helen's Bridal and Tuxedo provided the formal wear for the contestants.
