WXED 107.3 FM Sponsoring A Free Lecture, “Nutrition For Brain & Body”

WXED 107.3 FM Radio is sponsoring a FREE lecture on Saturday, November 11th that focuses on nutrition for the brain and body. The lecture, titled “Nutrition For Brain & Body,” will be given by Lena Aiken, MS, RD, LDN, an Extension Educator with Penn State University. The event will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Dayspring Harvest Ministries, located at 316 Sixth Street, Ellwood City. Annual Richard Hogue Memorial Blood Drive Scheduled For November 21

The annual Richard Hogue Memorial Blood Drive has been announced and scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Hogue was only 28 when his life was taken on November 16, 2013. At the time of his death, he resided in Enon Valley, worked for Nick Mars Construction as a carpenter, and was a member of the Ellwood City Eagles Club. Independence Health System Offering Health Fair & Screening Event

Upcoming Trunk or Treat Events

Several area churches will be holding Trunk or Treat events as the Halloween holiday approaches. On Sunday, October 22, 2023, North Sewickley Presbyterian Church will hold its fifth annual Trunk or Treat from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in its church parking lot. The church is located at 106 Chapel Drive, Ellwood City, PA 16117, just look for all the decorated cars, costumes and children across from Shakespeare’s Restaurant. Ellwood City Oktoberfest Tickets Now On Sale

The Ellwood City Oktoberfest Tickets are now on sale. Oktoberfest, a partnership of community organizations, is in its 13th year and will take place on Saturday, October 7th in Ewing Park. The Wolves Club, Rotary Club of Ellwood City and the Ellwood City Lions fundraiser highlights craft brewers, sampling of a variety of craft beers, raffles, auctions and games.
