Riverside Varsity Softball to Host Pancake Breakfast

The Riverside High School Varsity Softball will be hosting a pancake breakfast at Lillyville Church, from 8:30a.m. – 11:30a.m. this Saturday, November 18. There will be a wide variety of pancakes to choose from including buttermilk, buckwheat, blueberry and chocolate chip. There will even be a topping bar! Three baskets will be raffled off including two Panther baskets and one Steelers basket. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for 55+, $5 for veterans, $5 for children 3-10, and free for children under 3.

Ellwood City Municipal Woman’s House Tour

The annual Ellwood City Municipal Woman’s House Tour will be December 2 from 10a.m.-3p.m. The house tour will consist of the DeSanzo house, 417 Hazel Ave., the Leavens house, 405 Pershing St., the Saxton house, 412 Pershing St., the McAnallen house, 648 Crabapple Lane, the Bissell house, 3302 River Road, and the Trinity Lutheran Church, 207 Spring Ave. The open house businesses are Shop At The Underpass, Kimple’s Jewelers, Posies by Patti, Market Place on Main, Peggy’s Hearts Desire, Blocher Jewelers, The Color Center, Wolverine Restaurant and Sweet Caroline’s. Bernstine to Host Agriculture Summit and Breakfast

Ellwood City Christmas Parade Details Announced

The annual Ellwood City Christmas Parade will march down Lawrence Avenue Saturday, December 2 at 3:30. The parade will start at the intersection of 4th Street and Lawrence Avenue and end at the intersection of 8th Street and Lawrence Avenue. Everyone is invited to participate in the parade. Art Students to Paint Holiday Scenes on Downtown Windows This Week

After a several year break, the Ellwood City Kitchen Cabinet is sponsoring the High School Art Department, 3D printer students and parent volunteers to paint windows of buildings and businesses throughout downtown Ellwood City for the holiday season along Lawrence Ave. & Fifth St. on Thursday, Nov. 16 from 8a.m-2p.m. “Three years ago when we approached the EC Art Club to paint the vacant building windows on the 500 block, it gave a lift to the avenue and the public actually thought the buildings were occupied.
