In a post on social media Sunday, the Wampum Area Christmas Parade Committee (WACP) announced the cancellation of their annual Christmas Parade. “After much consideration. 2020 Beaver County Hazardous Waste Collection Date Announced

Safely dispose of common household chemicals and take advantage of the Beaver County Hazardous Waste Collection event that is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2020. The collection will take place at the Bradys Run Park Recycling Center from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. A new fee structure will be in place – $20.00 and covers disposal of up to 10 gallons/50 pounds of the accepted materials. Oversize loads will be subject to additional charges. The Ellwood City Area Public Library will be open by appointment only starting Tuesday September 29, 2020. Call the library to set up an appointment to browse for books or use a computer. Mayor Anthony J. Court has declared Tuesday, September 15, 2020 as “Angeline Riccardo Day” in Ellwood City. Mayor Court presented a proclamation in observance of Mrs. Riccardo’s 100th birthday.
