Ellwood City Schools Plan To Dismiss Early For Solar Eclipse

The Ellwood City Area School District is planning an early dismissal on Monday, April 8, 2024 due to the solar eclipse that day. Lincoln Jr/Sr High School and Hartman Upper Intermediate will dismiss at 12:15 PM and Perry Lower Intermediate and North Side will dismiss at 1:15 PM. Jehovah’s Witnesses Launch Invitation Campaign

During March 2024, Jehovah’s Witnesses will be launching a special campaign to invite fellow residents of New Castle and Ellwood City to two special events. On Sunday, March 24th, millions of Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world will gather to commemorate the death of Jesus Christ. The annual observance of the Lord’s Evening Meal will feature a talk highlighting the significance of Jesus’ death and what it means for all of mankind. Trinity Lutheran Church Invites Community To “Shadows: A Service of Tenebrae”

On Good Friday, March 29th, Trinity Lutheran Church choir along with others from our community will be sharing the music from the “Shadows: A Service of Tenebrae”. Red Barn Players Announce 2024 Show Line Up

The Red Barn Players have announced their 2024 season scheduled of shows. The theater performs a show in the months of June, July, August, and September and season tickets are available. Each Season Ticket for $63.00 and gives you (4) passes to be used in any combination during the 2024 performances. Ellwood City Earth Day Event Committee Seeks Vendors

The annual Lawrence County Earth Day Celebration will be held on Saturday, April 20th at Ewing Park, Ellwood City from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The planning committee is seeking vendors to sell environmentally friendly products. Vendor products from previous years include goats milk soaps, rug rags, reusable tupperware, wood crafts, beeswax lotion bars, soaps, candles, plants, jams, herbs, goats milk lotion, and skincare products.
