(Butler, PA) Butler County Community College’s new agreement with La Roche University will allow BC3 graduates with an associate degree in early childhood education (Pre K-4) to transfer credits toward any one of three bachelor’s degree programs in education and to be eligible for annual merit scholarships of up to $15,000 from the private institution near Pittsburgh. Since 2017, Star of Life Training has been offering First Aid, CPR, or Emergency Response Training for employers and individuals. Now there is a location right in the heart of Ellwood City. With the weather conditions rapidly changing, I would like to remind residents to remove any items hanging over the roads, (Basketball hoops, ETC.) Park in driveways where possible so we can clear your streets. Our plows are 10’ wide, if your roads are narrow and you have no driveway, please stagger your parking so we can weave in and out of cars parked on both sides. Proclamation Presented to EC Girls Volleyball Team

Mayor Anthony J. Court presented a proclamation to the Ellwood City girls volleyball team, remarking on the team’s outstanding accomplishments. The team finished with a 17-1 overall record earning a Class 2A, Section 1 championship and WPIAL Finals appearance. “Proud of this special group on an outstanding season!” said Mayor Court in a statement. “Congratulations girls!” The Wolverines were ousted by North Catholic 3-1 in the WPIAL Class 2A championship November 7 at Fox Chapel, suffering their lone defeat of the season. Council Approves Military Banners Project

Ellwood City Borough Council voted to authorize implementation of the Ellwood City Military Banners project. The project will be led by Gabrielle Gretch.
