Meet the Team: Lincoln High School Woman’s Tennis

Lincoln High School held their fall sports media day Thursday evening, so we took the time to do a Q&A with the Junior and Senior members of the tennis team.

Senior:

Denisa Bohunicky (foreign exchange student) 3rd year playing tennis

Parents: Martina and Robert Bohunicky

Staying with: Adrien and Thomas Lonta

Q. Where are you from?

A. Prague, Czech Republic.

Q. What brings you over here?

A. I have always wanted to visit America and this seemed like a perfect opportunity.

Q. How long have you been here?

A. 3 or 4 days.

Q. Have you practiced with the team yet?

A. Not yet.

Q. What experiences do you want to have from being in America?

A. Meeting new friends and living in a different culture.

Q. What do you think about America?

A. It’s nice, the people are much friendlier. It’s very different than the Czech Republic.

Q. What do you plan on doing after you graduate?

A. Planning on going to school for journalism.

Juniors:

Q. What has your favorite memory been over the years (sports related).

A. Going to Sheetz after away games

Q. What are you most looking forward to about the upcoming season?

A. Playing the upcoming games

Q. What will you miss about tennis after graduation?

A. Playing with the teammates.

Q. What are your plans after you graduate?

A. Going to Pitt for nursing and business- want to open a nursing home business

 

Savannah Lohr- 1st year in tennis

Parents: Sean and Melissa Lohr

Q. What are you most looking forward to about the upcoming season?

A. It’s the first sport I’ve played for school.

Q. What are your plans after you graduate?

A.  Four years college. Major is still undecided.

 

Amanda Cherry- 1st year in tennis

Parents: Bob and Ann Cherry

Q. What have and the team been doing to prepare yourselves for the upcoming season?

A. Not only practicing as a team but we take the time to practice on our own.

Q. What are your plans after you graduate?

A. Going to Ohio State to become and algebra teacher.
