Ellwood City Moose Christmas Fair

The Ellwood City Moose, 1400 Factory Ave. will be having a Christmas Fair on Sunday December 3rd from 10am – 3pm.

This is the first year the Moose is having the event, which will be open to the public and will feature local vendors of all kinds, Christmas crafters, a concession stand, food and bake sale, and a Chinese auction.

There will be 18-20 hand crafters, wreathes, hand painted bottles, leather, and others. There will also be consultants like Luluroe, health and beauty, nail art, Tupperware and others. Each vendor is donating a prize to the Chinese auction.

All money made will go towards Mooseheart and Moosehaven. As well as future events they plan to have.

About the Moose:

The moose is a family oriented lodge. While they do a lot of activities for their members, they are starting to give back to the community.

Anna Main has been participating and organizing a group for Relay for life over the past few years, walking and raising money for cancer. They just did their very first trunk or treat open to the public and had about 80 kids show up. They have donated to the Easter egg hunt in the park over the years, and also have helped people organize benefits to raise money for individuals. The Moose Riders (motorcycle club) and the women of the moose did Paws for Trinity over summer. They also hosted a rummage sale were people can bring their unwanted items to sell in a group setting.

The lodge is currently looking for new members to help with all of the events.

They are starting to do regular paint nights with painting with a twist. The next one is November 18th starting at 6pm. You do have to prepay for this event. The last one they did was fun and had a great turn out. This is also open to the public. You can find it on the Painting with a Twist web site. There will be another one at the end of January beginning of February.

The annual Cash Bash will be held in the Spring.

The annual Kids Christmas in December is a members only event, so there are some benefits to being a member.

A portion of everything made goes to Mooseheart and Moosehaven, which is kids, elderly, and Veterns.

“We really just getting started giving back, as we were are just getting the funds to throw events. It is really easy to become a member also if people want to help and participate in our private members only events.”

It’s $60 for men for the first year and $42 for women. Then just $40 year for men and $22 for women yearly after that. The money goes towards your life time membership which has all kinds of benefits. You can find more info here https://www.mooseintl.org/

All of the organizations’ events are on Facebook at Ellwood City Moose Lodge 93 or Ellwood City Women of the Moose Chapter 442.
