PLAY BALL: Ellwood City Fastpitch Softball Announce Sign-Ups

Would you like to come play competitive fastpitch softball with a local organization that has produced players who have contributed to multiple undefeated seasons at both the junior high and high school levels, earned section and WPIAL championships, and moved on to success all levels of collegiate softball?

Ellwood City Fastpitch Softball has announced their sign-ups for 8U (coach pitch), 10U (girls pitch modified), 12U (coach pitch), and 15U (girls pitch) teams.

The registration fee is 100.00 due by March 1, 2021. The league offers financial hardship arrangements.

The league will mandate all COVID-19 safety protocols. The season does not start until May and the league will have more COVID-19 safety information as the season draws closer.

“If learning the game the right way, working hard, having fun, and competing with your friends sounds good, we are the program for you,” says Bill Garroway.

The organization teaches the physical and mental fundamentals required to become elite players according to Garroway. Teams compete in the Lawrence County League. Over the years the organization has won several titles at the 10U, 12U, 15U and high school levels.

“We have been developing competitive fast pitch softball players over the summer months in the Ellwood City Area School District since 2008. Our players start out in early elementary school and can compete until high school graduation,” said Garroway. “We are different than recreational softball because our players earn what they get and get what they earn.”

“We work hard, practice alot, and improve as players and people. Playing time in games is earned by improving during practice and is not given,” said Garroway.
