Ellwood City’s Fearscapes Haunted Attraction a Menacing Maze

Need a little fear in your life? You don’t have to leave Ellwood City to find it.

FearScapes Haunted Attraction located in the old Snyder Factory, 1503 Brentwood Avenue, has plenty of fright up its sleeve.

A concept straight out of nightmares and brought to reality by FearScapes owner, John Guerrini, the attraction features “twists, turns, thrills, and chills” all caged up in a fifty room escape maze. Hideous and ghastly creatures will taunt you as you take a walk through the menacing maze. This concept is a combination effort. He credits his wife Veronica with the sinister scenes, eerie lighting, and ghastly characters.

“We are excited to see this dream come to life,” Guerrini said.

Guerrini, also the owner of Omega FX, LLC  a company that prides itself on entertaining by supplying special effects that are terrifying or non frightening and family friendly, said FearScapes has evolved from a traveling haunted attraction to a large-scale stationary attraction.

“We spent 2 years traveling with the attraction,” Guerrini said, pointing out that most recently they had it at the Big Knob Fair.

Guerrini said tickets are on sale now and he welcomes all of Ellwood to come out and see his creepy creations.

The Grand Opening is on Oct 4 when The stolen stitches will present a spooky classic 10 in 1 style circus sideshow as they perform outside and inside the attraction. According to the FearScapes Facebook page, The stolen stitches have a list of terrifying talents ranging from fire eating piano solos to sword swallowing, human blockheads to bug munching.

FearScapes is open Friday and Saturday nights through October. All shows begin at 7 p.m. with last tickets sold at 10:30 p.m. Admission is $15 per person on regular nights and $20 on “Black Out Nights,” which will be held on the week of Halloween (Monday October 28, Tuesday October 29, and Wednesday October 30).

“During Black Out Nights, you are trapped within a group of hidden rooms and secret passages and you must find your way out of our fifty room escape maze in total darkness all while being chased by our resident ghouls,” Guerrini said.

In addition to the attraction, Guerrini said they are teaming up with New Dimension Comics.

“They will be handing out free comic books at our merchandise booth,” he said. “Stop by after you go through the haunt to pick up some FearScapes apparel and a free comic!”

Stay tuned to FearScapes Facebook page for announcements of more activities as the opening day draws closer.
