Marilyn Grace Geniviva, 64

Marilyn Grace Geniviva, 64, of Ellwood City passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at her residence.

Born December 2, 1953 in Ellwood City, she was the daughter of the late Helen U. Konowaluk and Cosmo S. Geniviva Sr.

Marilyn graduated from Lincoln High School in 1971. She braved a 20 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Marilyn was known for her sense of humor, strong will, and her generosity. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Church.

She was a licensed Cosmetologist and Beautician who owned and operated The House of Hair Beauty Shop in Ellwood City for many years. She also was an owner of the former Cully’s Restaurant in Ellport. Marilyn was a car enthusiast. She enjoyed the many dogs and cats that she took care of over the years.

She is survived by a cousin, Al Geniviva and other family members and many friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 13 at 10 am at Holy Redeemer Church with Rev. Father Mark Thomas officiating. Final interment will take place in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their special thanks to her caregivers, Marylou Ehrenberg, Vickie Krieser, Kaitlyn Phillippi, and Cheryl Wheeler for their kind and compassionate care.
