Aided by six match victories, the Ellwood City Wolverines wrestling team defeated New Castle 42-17 Tuesday evening during senior night.
Match victories by Jake Alberts, Tyler Baird, Donavan Chambers, Doug Balin, Braden Strohecker, and Austin Walley proved decisive in the Wolverines victory.
Ellwood City’s next match is against Fort Cherry on Wednesday at 6:00pm. The Wolverines will then head into the section and WPIAL tournament the following weekend (2/16/18-2-17-18).
