Ellwood City Area Public Library Activities for Week of January 29, 2018

Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following:

Wednesday, January 31, at 10:00 a.m. — “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. “Coloring for Adults” is a program designed to help reduce the stresses of everyday life. Everyone is welcome, so call the library at 724-758-6458 for more information.

Thursday, February 1, at 3:00 p.m. – “Hooked on Books,” a book discussion group for students in 6th through 8th grades. The group meets monthly for book discussion and pizza. Call the library for more information.

Thursday, February 1, at 6:00 p.m. — Adult Knitting Group whose members meet weekly to work on individual projects. New members are welcome, so call the library for more information.

Saturday, February 3, at 10:00 a.m. – “Silly Science and Lego Day,” featuring silly science experiments conducted in a fun way and creative Lego building. The program is designed for children in kindergarten through 6th grade. No registration is required, so call the library for more information.

Saturday, February 3, at 12:00 Noon – “Twenty-Something Book Discussion Group” designed for college-aged students and people in their twenties. The group meets once each month for book discussion and pizza. Call the library for more information.

A Valentine’s Day Family Night Party is planned for preschoolers and early elementary aged children on Tuesday evening, February 13. Featured will be a variety of fun-filled activities. Since this is a family night event, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Mark the date now and watch this column for more information.

“Movie Night for Adults” will not be held in January, but will resume its normal schedule on Wednesday, February 28. Call the library for more information, for the rest of the spring dates or to discover the titles of the films to be shown this spring.
