Harold L. Laderer II, 60

Harold L. Laderer II, 60, of Worth Township, a much loved husband, father, grandpa, son, brother and uncle, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2018 at VNA Hospice.

Harold was born on December 12, 1957, the son of Harold and Doris Bupp Laderer of Portersville.  He married the former Lynn Wilver on July 10, 1982.  Harold grew up in Slippery Rock and graduated from Slippery Rock High School.  He furthered his education at Berkley School of Music in Boston and Stanley Spector School of Drumming in New York City.  He retired in 2014 from the Ellwood City Forge and attended Crossroads Church, Cranberry Township campus.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Harold is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Luke and Ashley Laderer of Ellwood City, Evan and Samantha Laderer of Jacksonville, NC, two grandchildren, Madalina and Max Laderer, two sisters, Greta Nogee of Prospect, Darla (Gene) Brown of Enon Valley and several nieces and nephews.

In Harold’s own words:

I was honored to be friends with some truly talented musicians.  It was my privilege to play and compose music with you.  I thank you.

To my wife Lynn who I have been marred to for 35 years:  From the first night we met, I knew you were the one for me.  You have always been the love of my life.

To Luke and Evan:  How precious you have been to me.  Loving each of you was the success story of my life.

To Luke, Evan, Ashley, Samantha, Madalina and Max:  Know that you have filled my life with unmeasurable love, joy and countless blessings.

Through this “journey”, in joy and difficulty, it is my faith in Jesus Christ that has held me (and Lynn) secure.

“For our momentary light affliction is producing for us an absolutely incomparable eternal weight of glory.  So we do not focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary, but what is not seen is eternal.”  2 Corinthians 4:17-18

Harold’s wishes were honored with a private family goodbye.  Memorial contributions can be made in his name to VNA Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA  16001.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.
