Criminal Complaints: Domestic Disputes

Several Ellwood residents are facing charges after separate domestic dispute cases were reported this month:

Steven Glen Ramsey, 32, of Ellwood City, is facing charges of prohibited acts, terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment after he had gotten into a physical argument with his girlfriend. The argument escalated when Ramsey pulled out a knife and held it to her throat, telling her that she needed to tell the truth or one of them was going to die. The victim had a visible mark from the altercation on her face.

Christopher David Bell-Kline, 22, of Ellwood City, is facing charges of strangulation, simple assault and harassment after an altercation with his girlfriend. A neighbor witnessed Bell-Kline punching and hitting the victim repeatedly outside the home. Officers observed a black eye, numerous scratch marks on the victim’s neck, and blood on the victim.

Matthew Shane Webb, 22, of Ellwood City, is facing charges of simple assault and harassment after physically assaulting his girlfriend. The victim stated Webb grabbed her by the throat and began choking her and punching her in the face. Officers observed the victim’s face was swollen and red.

James Allen Shablesky, 54, of Ellwood City, is facing charges of simple assault and harassment after physically assaulting his girlfriend. The victim advised officers that she and Shablesky had gotten into an argument over their 9-month-old child, leading to a physical altercation. The victim stated the argument started when she wanted to hold their child but Shablesky wouldn’t allow her. The argument then turned physical and Shablesky grabbed her by the wrist and twisted it, bringing her to the floor and further grabbing the victim’s hooded sweat shirt using it to choke her. The altercation lasted a short while longer until the victim was able to lock herself into a room and call 911. The victim had marks consistent with the report.
