Codie Renee Lovitt, 35

Codie Renee Lovitt, nee Gasser, 35, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 following neurological complications ultimately causing heart failure.

Codie was born June 10, 1982 at the Beaver Valley Medical Center, the daughter of Charlene Sypolt and the late William Ray Gasser, Jr. She attended Beaver Falls Area Schools and Blackhawk Schools graduating in 2000 and also graduated from Everest University with a degree in criminal justice. She was currently employed at Aaron’s in Boardman, Oh and she attended the Church of the Nazarene in New Galilee, Pa.

Codie had the best smile and the most absolutely infectious laugh. When she loved you, she protected you fiercely. She was loyal to those she loved, to a fault. She had a bold disposition, a sharp wit and was unabashedly honest. When Codie entered a room, there was no denying her presence. As a loving and protective mother, her proudest accomplishment was bringing her son Jaize into the world.

Although she may have appeared fearless and tough, Codie had a kind and gentle side she often kept hidden away. She shows the world this side, one last time, as her wish to donate her organs was fulfilled.

Codie will be madly missed by her son, Jaize Ziegler; mother, Charlene Sypolt; sister, Jessica Farinelli; grandparents, Robert and Helen Nalesnik; several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Family and friends will be received Monday, January 1, 2018, from 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm and Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 10am until the time of service at 11am, in the Marshall Funeral Home located at 341 Main Street, Wampum, Pa, with Pastor Ed Hanley officiating. Interment at Clinton Cemetery in Wampum, Pa.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of the Marshall Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to marshallsfh.com.
