Ellwood City Wolverines Defeat Steel Valley

Munhall, PA– Lincoln won 55-42 against Steel Valley on Wednesday with the help of Anthony Roth, who scored 25 points, including 17 points in a decisive 3rd quarter for the Wolverines.

Ellwood City Wolverines clinched their lead in the third quarter on a free throw from Roth.

Lincoln came back with a vengeance in the final two quarters, after being behind early in the game, trailing 23-19 at the half. With a game-high 20 points in the third quarter, Lincoln gained some momentum late in the game.

Roth led Lincoln’s offense, going 5-for-14 (36%) from the field while also sinking 93% (13-for-14) of free throws attempted.

Rick Pitrelli put three three-pointers on the board and scored 11 points total. Two other players also scored in the double digits for Lincoln. Sean Busby contributed 10 points. Also contributing for Lincoln were Broc Boariu (4 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals), Ryan Busby (3 points, 6 rebounds), and Andrew O’Brien (2 points, 3 rebounds).

Lincoln finished the game with 40 rebounds (14 offensive / 26 defensive), two blocks and four steals.
