Agnes D’Ambrosia, 99

Agnes D’Ambrosia, 99, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away in Paso Robles, CA, on Monday, November 27, 2017.

Born September 8, 1918 in Branchton, PA, she was the daugter of the late Alfonso and Margaret DeRose D’Amore.

She was married to Alphonso D’Ambrosia for 69 years who passed away in 2007.

Agnes was a longtime member of the Red Hat Society. She worked at the Ellwood Knitting Mill and then as the head cook at St. Joseph Nursing Home until her retirement. Agnes most enjoyed spending time with her family. She delighted all with her culinary skills, most famous for her raviolis. She enjoyed knitting scarves and slippers which she gifted to many.

Survivors include one son and daughter in law, Dr. Robert D. and Barbara D’Ambrosia of Denver, CO and Santa Fe, NM, three daughters and their spouses, Judy and Nick Nicklebine of South Bend, IN, Kathleen and Ralph Michaels of Carmel, CA, and Maggie D’Ambrosia and Mark Goldberg of Paso Robles, CA; 9 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by 3 sisters, Marie Pander, Sophie Polizzi, and Theressa Felix; and 2 brothers, Louis and Patrick D’Amore.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, December 5, from 9 to 10am at the Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Ave. Ellwood City, PA.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Holy Redeemer Church on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10:30am with Rev. Father Mark Thomas officiating.

Interment will follow in the Holy Redeemer Cemetery
