Our journalist took a stroll in Ewing Park yesterday and noticed several of the sponsored Christmas trees have been decorated in preparation of this weekend.
About the Christmas events:
“Let There Be Lights Weekend” begins at 6 p.m. Dec. 1. The festival will include vendors, entertainment, horse and trolley rides, reindeer, fireworks and the lighting of the Christmas tree.
After the festivities, “A Christmas Story” will be shown in the Lincoln High School auditorium at 8:15 p.m.
A Christmas parade, with special guest Santa Claus, begins at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 2 on Lawrence Avenue. Santa will travel to Treefoil Lodge at Ewing Park afterwards and meet with children while visitors can ride through the park and admire the lights and displays of “Christmas in the Park.”
