Activities taking place at the Ellwood City Area Public Library include the following:
Monday, November 20, at 1:30 p.m. – Afternoon Book Discussion Group for Adults. The group will discuss the book, “The Eastern Shore,” by Ward Just. New members are welcome, so call the library at 724-758-6458 for more information.
Wednesday, November 22, at 10:00 a.m. — “Coloring for Adults,” a weekly program that is free and open to the public. “Coloring for Adults” is a program designed to help reduce the stresses of everyday life. Everyone is welcome, so call the library for more information.
The library will be closed on Thursday, November 23, in observance of the Thanksgiving Day Holiday. Normal hours will resume on Friday, November 24.
“Movie Night for Adults” for November will be held on Wednesday, November 29. Featured will be a new-to-DVD film and refreshments. The evening is free and open to all area adults. Call the library for more information or for the title of the film to be shown.
A holiday story time for babies, toddlers and preschoolers will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 5. Call the library for more information.
A holiday “Silly Science and Lego Day” will be featured on Saturday, December 2. The program is designed for children in kindergarten through 6th grade and highlights silly science experiments and Lego building. No registration is required, so call the library for more information.
A holiday family movie event is scheduled for Saturday, December 9, at 2:00 p.m. A full-length feature film with a holiday theme will be shown. Refreshments are served. Since this is a family event, all children must be accompanied by an adult. Call the library for more information or to discover the title of the film to be shown.
