Local Communities Observe National School Bus Safety Week

Today concludes National School Bus Safety Week – a week that schools and communities around the nation partake in to raise awareness of school bus safety.

“Held during the third full week of October each year, National School Bus Safety Week is an active and evolving public education program and an excellent way for parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, school administrators, and other interested parties – to join forces and address the importance of school bus safety,” the National Association for Pupil Transport’s site states.

This year’s theme was #STOPONRED and Franklin Township showed their support to the cause by posting this informational flyer about Pennsylvania’s school bus stopping laws on their Facebook page:

Next year’s theme will be My Driver – My Safety Hero!
